State Sen. Carol Liu will take an informational walk through the Atwater Village Business District on May 2, 2009!  Liu, D-La Cañada Flintridge, will walk along Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village and meet with business owners. She wants to become acquainted with local businesses, discuss issues of importance, and learn areas where the Legislature can be of assistance.

• WHAT: Atwater Village Business Walk

• WHEN: 10 a.m. to Noon; (11:30 a.m. no-host Reception at Kaldi Coffee, 3147 Glendale Blvd.)

• WHERE: Glendale Boulevard businesses in Atwater Village.

 

About Atwater Village

Atwater Village is a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles, California. It is bordered by the Los Angeles districts of Los Feliz and the Hollywood Hills of Griffith Park on the west, Silver Lake on the south, and Glassell Park on the southeast, and by the city of Glendale on the north and east. The Los Angeles River runs west of it, separating it from Los Feliz and Silverlake.

Principal thoroughfares include Fletcher Drive, and Los Feliz and Glendale Boulevards. The Golden State and Glendale Freeways run along the district's western and southeastern borders, respectively.

Incorporated in 1947 the Atwater Village Chamber of Commerce* is one of the oldest and most enduring community groups in Atwater Village.

For over 60 years we have been promoting the civic and economic well being of our community. At heart this Chamber is an inclusive group of small business owners who love their community and wish to preserve the lasting “village” feel of our neighborhood.
